The court of appeals vacated district court judgment of conviction. The court held that charges in a superseding indictment not required to be joined with the original charges enjoy the benefit of a new seventy-day clock under the Speedy Trial Act. The court held further that the government prejudicially erred in failing to turn over a full complement of dog-history discovery in response to a narcotics defendant’s motion to suppress drug evidence seized from his truck after a drug dog’s purported alert on the vehicle.
