The newspaper on Saturday captured six awards in CNPA’s annual Better Newspapers Contest, including first place in the public service category for daily newspapers with 10,000 or under circulation. The paper also was honored for business, investigative and opinion pieces.
The public service award recognized The Recorder’s coverage of California Supreme Court Justice Stanley Mosk’s death and the process of appointing his successor, Carlos Moreno.
