This week, Joan Haratani, a 44-year-old product liability attorney, will start work in the San Francisco office of the Kansas City-based firm mostly known for its defense work in tobacco litigation.
Among her civic and professional memberships, Haratani is president of the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area. She is also on the board of directors for the Bar Association of San Francisco and the board of directors for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America.
