I suppose it’s a good thing, really. If our planet’s dominant species were golden retrievers, aliens would doubtless long ago have enslaved them and shipped them off to work the premaetonium mines of Valdor 6.
I’m convinced we’ve been left unmolested for the same reason scorpions are ignored by birds: We’re more trouble than we’re worth.
