Marvell Semiconductor Inc. appears to have lost a long battle to suppress a voice mail at the center of a major trade secrets case brought by rival Jasmine Networks Inc.

On Wednesday, the California Supreme Court, in which the dispute had been pending for nearly four years, dropped its review of the matter and sent it back to San Jose’s 6th District Court of Appeal, which had ruled against Marvell in 2004.
