Microsoft Corp.’s federal appeals court victory Monday in its fight with Sun Microsystems Inc. over the Java computer language is expected to be short-lived.
The Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals sided with many points of Sun’s argument that it was wronged by Microsoft, despite overturning a preliminary injunction Sun won last November against Microsoft’s use of Java products.
