Bas Boris Visser, the firm's global head of innovation, had served as Amsterdam managing partner twice over the course of his long career at the U.K. firm. His death came just days after Clifford Chance lost another partner, Christopher Morvillo, who was with billionaire client Mike Lynch when his yacht sank off the coast of Sicily in a freak storm.
