Cybersecurity is a top of mind concern for general counsel in organizations across industries, and what follows that worry is how such an incident can adversely impact their company's reputation.

Danielle Vanderzanden, shareholder at Ogletree Deakins and co-chair of the firm's data privacy practices group, and Jason Maloni, senior vice president and chair of litigation practice at LEVICK, addressed the topic during a cyberSecure session, “PR: Using a Crisis as an Opportunity to Protect and Enhance the Company's Reputation.”

Vanderzanden prefaced the discussion by saying, “Your IG program should be up to snuff, so that if you get to the point of a breach, you have some good material for your law firm and your PR firm.”
