A Shoosmiths lawyer has been named as one of three British tourists killed in a helicopter crash in the Grand Canyon in Arizona.

Senior associate Jason Hill, a corporate lawyer in the firm's Milton Keynes office, was killed in the crash alongside his younger brother Stuart and Stuart's girlfriend, Becky Dobson.

Jason Hill's girlfriend and two other Britons survived Saturday's crash but are critically ill in hospital, The Evening Standard reports.

Shoosmiths CEO Claire Rowe said that Jason Hill, whose practice focused on M&A and private equity, "was well respected and loved by all those who worked with him at the firm".

She added: "He was hardworking, full of energy and enjoyable to work with, and we are greatly saddened by the news of his death and that of his brother Stuart. Our immediate thoughts are with their family at this very difficult and tragic time."

Jason Hill joined Shoosmiths as a trainee before qualifying into the firm's corporate practice in 2011. He previously studied law at the University of Southampton before completing his Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Guildford.
