Mayer Brown has shuttered its Mexico City office less than a decade after setting up the outpost in hopes of tapping into work related to the opening of Mexico's energy sector to greater private investment.
The closure, which officially took place on Oct. 31, has sent more than a dozen lawyers in search of new homes, including three partners who have set up their own firm.
