Allen & Overy Launches in Seoul
The Magic Circle firm is the latest international firm to arrive in Korea ahead of further liberalization in the country's legal market next year.

Allen & Overy has become the third international law firm to announce a Seoul office launch in the past month.
Tokyo partner Matthias Voss will relocate to be the managing partner of the Magic Circle firm's Seoul office. He will be joined by partner Jean Lee, who relocates from Washington, D.C., and counsel Kyu Bang, who arrives from Sydney.
The Seoul office will provide on-the-ground support for Allen & Overy's Korean clients, advising on project finance, mergers and acquisitions, antitrust and intellectual property matters.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Eastern District Court by the Rosen Law Firm, contends that the defendants concealed the inadequacy of the company's site in Childress County, Texas, including it being 'ill-equipped' and unable to operate the company's proprietary design.
