The cases, both filed by plaintiff David Millette on behalf of other YouTube video creators, allege that the companies covertly transcribed "millions" of YouTube videos to train their AI software products, Google's Gemini and OpenAI's ChatGPT. The plaintiff is seeking injunctive relief and damages from both companies on unjust enrichment and unfair competition law violation claims.
