He's been named the new general counsel for UAL Corporation, the holding company of United Airlines. He'll start his new job on March 29, and report to CEO Glenn Tilton. It's a big change for Sabatino, 51, who could not be reached for comment. He's spent much of his legal career in the pharmaceutical industry. Before signing up with Chicago-based United, he was general counsel for the drug maker Schering-Plough. He oversaw its global law department until November 2009, when Merck & Co., Inc. officially bought the company for $41.1 billion.
