Lucky Seven: Texas Firms Make Lots of DealsRacking up a third straight year of growth, the volume of U.S. mergers and acquisitions totaled more than $1 trillion in 2005, which provided a solid source of work for some large Texas firms. And other kinds of corporate work were also good to several of those firms. Seven Texas firms, two fewer than last year, are in the small group included on The Corporate Scorecard, an annual national ranking of firms that do the most deals, or highest-value deals, in eight specific corporate areas.
