Nabarro votes in corporate partner to succeed Paradise at helm of firm

Nabarro has appointed corporate partner Andrew Inkester as the firm's new managing partner, after current incumbent Nicole Paradise stepped down following 12 years in the role. Inkester, who joined the firm when legacy practice Turner Kenneth Brown merged with Nabarro Nathanson in 1995, was initially put forward for the role by senior partner and fellow corporate lawyer Simon Johnston.

Nabarro to swell bonus pool on offer for top-performing partners

Nabarro is set to overhaul its partner remuneration system, with the firm looking at increasing the size of a bonus pool used to reward star performers and expand the criteria used for deciding partner compensation. The firm introduced merit-based pay for partners more than 10 years ago and currently sets aside around 1% of its profits for a bonus pool used to reward a handful of top performers. It is now considering increasing this to around 5% of profits, to give it more flexibility to better reward high achievers.

The Supreme Court has delivered a mixed ruling in the battle between George Lucas's movie empire and a UK prop designer over the sale of the iconic Stormtrooper helmets from the Star Wars films.
