Ontario Regulators: Ex-Davies Ward Partner Tipped Frat Brother on Deals

The Ontario Securities Commission has found that a former Davies Ward partner tipped off a friend, starting in 2004, about three separate deals that the lawyer had knowledge of. The tips prompted the friend—an investment adviser—to buy shares in the companies in question.
