Experienced Litigator Discusses the Art of Attracting Clients

Frank Love Jr. was hired at the now-defunct Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy in 1951, and although much has changed since he began practicing law, one thing remains unquestionably the same: the need to attract clients. Love says lawyers need to make sure people know them. "You can't just sit around, read books, then go home, have a drink, and go to bed, because if people don't know you, they're not going to hire you." He has other advice too, such as don't overlook asking clients to refer you to others.
