"For well over half a century, visitors to the Supreme Court have had to conform their conduct while on the plaza to an unknown and unknowable standard," Jeffrey Light, the lawyer who filed the petition, told the high court. The case challenges a ruling in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, which upheld the law.
