A veteran attorney who over the course of a decade served as general counsel of three northeastern U.S. banks has pleaded guilty to embezzling $7.4 million from the institutions.
James Blose, 56, admitted to the scheme during an appearance Friday in federal court in New Haven, Connecticut. A judge released him on a $250,000 bond until his March 13 sentencing.
