General Electric Company has tapped Peter Lefkowitz, formerly of business software giant Oracle Corporation, as its new chief privacy counsel.

Lefkowitz, who most recently served as Oracle’s vice president of privacy and security legal and chief privacy officer, will join GE at its headquarters in Fairfield, Connecticut, starting September 9. He will replace Nuala O’Connor Kelly, who left GE in 2012 to become associate general counsel, privacy and data protection at Amazon.com.
