The Department of Financial Services has subpoenaed Equifax over the massive data breach that put the personal information of 143 million Americans, including 8 million New Yorkers, at risk, the department's head told a state Senate hearing Thursday. Data breach notices received by the state climbed 60 percent last year over 2015.
