PURPOSE: To discuss and review the allocation, allowable use, and development of plans for Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act, inclusive of a review of the prior allocation, expenditures and planned use for remaining ESSER funds allocated to the District as part of the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, as well as other budget related issues as appropriate. A copy of the workshop agenda will be made available by 10:00 a.m., June 23, 2021. The agenda can be viewed by accessing the website www.dadeschools.net under Board Information. A copy of the agenda will also be available at Citizen Information Center, Room 102, 1450 N.E. Second Avenue. For further information, call 305-995-1128. Under extraordinary circumstances, the Board may approve an individual Board member’s request to access, participate in, and to vote at this meeting utilizing communications media technology.
The public may attend the workshop at the School Board Administration Building’s Auditorium, 1450 NE 2nd Avenue, Miami, FL 33132. In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines each person will be required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth (individuals are responsible for providing their own facial covering) and remain at least six (6) feet from other attendees upon arrival as they enter the School Board Administration Building and until his/her departure. Individuals who fail to adhere to these guidelines may be required to leave the premises.
