A judge has found Larry Marshak in contempt for continuing to use the name of a famous oldies group, the Drifters, in defiance of an 8-year-old court order. The ruling in the case could have an effect on another pending music lawsuit against New Jersey state Attorney General Anne Milgram. That lawsuit, filed by two management companies connected to Marshak, challenges the enforcement of the state's so-called "truth in music" law, designed to prevent the unauthorized use of existing groups' names.
