An expert in professional real estate management and maintenance standards of care including
financial reporting and fiduciary duties, inspection and maintenance procedures, risk
management and legal compliance/record keeping.

I have been actively and directly involved in the management of real estate since 1984, first as a
property manager and later as a property management supervisor, management company co-
owner and top executive for national management companies.

Since 2011, I have been actively involved in the education and training of real estate
professionals through the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) and the Building Owners
and Managers Association International (BOMI®). As an instructor for both of these prestigious
organizations, teaching accreditation courses in property maintenance, risk management, ethics
and finance, I have helped hundreds of real estate professionals advance their understanding
and application of these topics. In 2016, I was President of IREM Chapter 22 in Sacramento,
California and still serve actively on the board of the chapter.

Since 2018, I have taught the Real Estate Principles course at the College of Business, Finance
Dept. – University of California, Sacramento (CSUS).

As an expert witness since 2015, I have been engaged on cases involving reasonable standards
of care, fiduciary duties and related topics for commercial properties and residential
condominium homeowners associations by attorneys representing both plaintiffs and
defendants.
