Hogan Lovells has strengthened its London debt capital markets (DCM) practice with the hire of Dennis Dillon from the City arm of Sidley Austin. Dillon, who joined Hogan Lovells this week (17 January), is US-qualified and specialises in structured finance transactions, working with clients such as Merrill Lynch.

Camerons hires Simmons partner for international capital markets launch

CMS Cameron McKenna has launched an international capital markets (ICM) group with the hire of Simmons & Simmons US securities partner Daniel Winterfeldt. As previously reported by Legal Week, Winterfeldt left Simmons in early December 2010. He will join Camerons next month (1 February) to head up the new team, which will span 13 offices in the UK and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and include around 40 partners.

The airline is understood to be handing the main role on its planned listing to longstanding adviser Eversheds. The car maker, which is being advised by US firm Jenner, has responded to strong market demand by expanding the IPO by 31%, helping the company to raise $23.1bn (£14.4bn) in what could be the largest IPO ever.
