A D.C. attorney has been issued an informal admonition by the Washington, D.C. Office of Bar Counsel for e-mail correspondence with an opposing client. An investigation by the counsel, which was docketed against Anne Hovis in September 2005, found that Hovis communicated with a subject she knew to be represented by another lawyer without their permission.
