The Fraternal Order of Court Officers (FOCO) dedicated a plaque at the Nassau County District Court in memory of Major Martin D'Amico, who died last year. D'Amico served more than 30 years in the Nassau County Courts, rising from the rank of court officer to major.
More than 100 officers, judges, court staff and family members attended the dedication on Sept. 28, including from left, Norman St. George, supervising judge of the Nassau County District Court; Thomas A. Adams, administrative judge of Nassau County; Patricia D'Amico, wife of Major D'Amico; D'Amico's son Stephen; Joseph Cannella, president of FOCO; and Captain Michael Gerbasi.
