Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer Inc. has agreed to purchase rival drug company, Wyeth, in a $68 billion cash-and-stock transaction, creating the world's largest pharmaceutical company. Also, Unilever, a consumer products conglomerate responsible for such brands as Dove, Lipton and Hellman's, has acquired TIGI, parent company to Toni & Guy hair products and academies, in a $411.5 million cash deal.
