Real estate investment trust Lexington Corporate Properties Trust has merged with Newkirk Realty Trust, Inc. in a transaction valued at $4.6 billion. The merger will create the Lexington Realty Trust, a combined real estate investment trust with a focus on single-family properties. Also, electric company Duquesne Light Holdings, Inc. has been acquired by a consortium led by Macquarie Infrastructure Partners. The transaction is valued at $1.5 billion.
