In a deal valued at about .4 billion, Pittsburgh, Pa.-based H.J. Heinz Company, which bills itself as the world`s largest ketchup maker, announced last week an agreement to transfer control of several of its food products to a subsidiary that will merge with San Francisco`s Del Monte Foods Company.
