The New Jersey No Fault Act remains under attack. Everyone agrees that the statute has not reduced the cost of automobile insurance and has not reduced the amount of litigation. The piecemeal changes to the act over the past eight years have failed to accomplish the goals of the Legislature, and the bipartisan support of the Automobile Insurance Cost Reduction Act has fallen apart. It is time for a change.

In this complaint by an African-American former police officer alleging racial discrimination, retaliation and hostile work environment, summary judgment dismissing his CEPA claim is affirmed since referral for a psychiatric evaluation is not an adverse employment action and, while transfer to administrative duty is, plaintiff failed to establish a causal connection between his demotion and his whistle-blowing activities, nor did he establish a hostile work environment under Title VII or the LAD.
