PeopleSoft General Counsel Anne Jordan has notified the company that she plans to resign. The news came as a surprise to San Francisco Bay Area corporate attorneys and litigators, given the ongoing litigation sparked by Oracle's unsolicited $9.4 billion bid to swallow PeopleSoft. However, the unusual timing of Jordan's departure does not necessarily signal a vulnerability in PeopleSoft's nine-month effort to fend off Oracle.
