Pa. Superior Court Approves Piercing of Corporate Veil

The Pennsylvania Superior Court fit together previous state court rulings on piercing the corporate veil to determine that a general contractor could go after the sole owner of several different companies to collect a $313,000 judgment that the contractor had obtained against one of them. The court's opinion noted, "It is somewhat remarkable" that since 1954, Pennsylvania courts have commented on the unsettled nature of the law regarding piercing the corporate veil.
