After more than 40 years at the helm, Gregory Rubin, founder of suburban Philadelphia employment law boutique Rubin, Fortunato & Harbison, has handed the titles of chairman and CEO to longtime shareholder Michael Fortunato.

Rubin, 75, is credited with turning the firm’s restrictive covenant practice in the securities industry from a regional anomaly to a major player on the national stage. He said in an interview Thursday he will remain at the firm as chairman emeritus and a practicing attorney.
