I have settled a major civil suit with a number of parties and as part of the agreements, I have included a provision in there that the clients have a choice of taking the monies and paying liens and doctors' bills, or I will hold the monies in an interest-bearing escrow account, and pay the liens and doctors' bills once they are fully ascertained.
