During my 3L year, I volunteered as a legal service coordinator with Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers For the Arts (PVLA). I would watch potential clients who were initially distraught or nervous about their legal woes at the beginning of the intake process leave with smiles and reassurance after speaking with or being represented by a volunteer attorney.
