Bay Area Legal Aid will receive a Pro Bono Innovation Fund grant of $346,602 from The Legal Services Corp. The grant will be used to partner with pro bono attorneys on the Fair Bargain Project, which trains pro bono attorneys to assist in consumer rights clinics and helps clients with consumer issues. Legal Services Corp. has provided 15 grants from its Pro Bono Innovation Fund, which awards projects for low-income legal aid clients for the last five years.

Buchalter promoted two attorneys to shareholder in California: Oren Bitan in Los Angeles and Paul Fraidenburgh in Orange County. Bitan’s practice focuses on matters in business, real estate, banking, receivership law, consumer products and commercial litigation. Fraidenburgh represents transportation industry clients in complex litigation and regulatory affairs.
