Intercom, a software unicorn whose backers include Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter’s Jack Dorsey, has brought aboard former Lumileds Chief Legal Officer Cheree McAlpine as its first general counsel.

The hiring, announced Tuesday, is the latest in a string of C-suite hires as the company bulks up its executive team in advance of what tech observers believe is a likely initial public offering.
