Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has grown its U.S. headcount by 50% since 2019, and the global firm has no plans to stop there. To that end, the firm is rolling out a new recruitment initiative for individuals looking to return to the legal profession after a hiatus.

Dubbed “The Returners,” the program aims to hire lawyers who have been out of the profession for at least two years for reasons such as caregiving. One of the hallmarks of the program is that individuals will work with a dedicated mentor and have access to senior management.
