Sheppard Mullin filed a civil RICO lawsuit Monday in California Central District Court accusing Production Capital and other defendants of defrauding investors of over $2.75 million in a film financing scheme. The complaint, brought on behalf of Altaa Investments and other plaintiffs, alleges that Production Capital was formed for the sole purpose of soliciting investments for movie projects that are non-existent. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2:22-cv-00498, Altaa Investments, LLC et al v. Production Capital, LLC et al.
