Paul Hastings has hired Morrison & Foerster’s Palo Alto litigation department chair Rudy Kim, further expanding its intellectual property and technology litigation offerings.

The tempo of a fairly common musical chairs of IP litigators has picked up in recent months in Northern California. In March, White & Case replenished its IP litigation practice with a 10-lawyer group from Paul Hastings and DLA Piper recruited a 30-lawyer IP team from Dentons. In January, Morrison & Foerster completed its merger with litigation boutique Durie Tangri, while last fall Perkins Coie lured a four-lawyer patent litigation group from Morrison & Foerster.
