Linklaters and White & Case win roles on record $2bn Thailand IPO

Linklaters and White & Case have landed lead roles on the planned $2.1bn (£1.4bn) initial public offering (IPO) of BTS Group's new infrastructure fund, reportedly Thailand's largest-ever new listing. BTS, which operates Bangkok's SkyTrain transit system, is in the process of setting up the BTS Rail Mass Transit Group Infrastructure Fund, which will be independently managed.

CC set to integrate with Riyadh alliance firm in Saudi first

Clifford Chance (CC) has become the first international law firm to set up a mixed local and foreign lawyer partnership in Saudi Arabia after securing approval to integrate with its longstanding ally in the region. CC and Al-Jadaan, which have been allied since 2003, are set to integrate their corporate, finance and capital markets practices in the region, with partners Abdulaziz Al-Abduljabbar and Khalid Al-Abdulkareem becoming CC partners, and a number of Al-Jadaan associates and support staff also moving across to the magic circle firm.

White & Case adds five Paris partners with Linklaters capital markets hires

Linklaters' Paris office has lost a four-partner capital markets team to White & Case, in a major departure from the magic circle firm. Partners Cenzi Gargaro, Philippe Herbelin and Severin Robillard and consultant Gilles Endreo are joining the US firm's base in the French capital, with a start date yet to be finalised. They are followed by Linklaters associate Thomas Le Vert, with all five joining White & Case as partners.

Hong Kong firm Howse Williams Bowers (HWB) has boosted its corporate team with a double hire including Stephenson Harwood London partner Peter Bradley. Bradley, who is ranked in band 2 by Chambers and Partners for Alternative Investment Market listings, is joining from from Stephenson Harwood's City office, alongside capital markets and M&A lawyer Chia Ching from Reed Smith Richards Butler (RSRB), the Hong Kong arm of Reed Smith.

Allen & Overy (A&O), Allen & Gledhill and Paul Hastings have landed key advisory roles on the $1.3bn (£839m) Singapore IPO of a state-owned real estate investment trust (REIT). Mapletree Greater China Commercial Trust, a China and Hong Kong-backed division of Mapletree Investments, the property arm of Singapore sovereign wealth fund Temasek Holdings, is to issue 1.7 billion shares at between 88 and 93 Singapore cents.

Norton Rose, Clifford Chance (CC) and Ashurst have landed key roles on the first major domestic initial public offering (IPO) of 2013, as UK housebuilder Crest Nicholson returns to the stock market. The IPO values Crest at around £553m, with the offer comprising a primary tranche raising £59m for the company and a secondary offering raising £169m through the sale by shareholders including Deutsche Bank and investment manager Varde.

CC, DLA and Skadden take roles on biggest IPO since Facebook

Clifford Chance (CC), Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom and DLA Piper are among a number of law firms to have advised on the initial public offering (IPO) of Pfizer's former animal health business Zoetis, in the largest IPO by a US company since Facebook. The listing, which went ahead on the New York Stock Exchange at the start of February, is said to have raised $2.2bn (£1.4bn), valuing the company at around $13bn (£8.3bn). Pfizer will retain an 80% ownership of Zoetis.
