The redundancies will affect eight lawyers in the firm's City capital markets practice. The firm has stated that no other offices or practice areas will be affected. The process, which started earlier this week, will see affected fee earners consulted with on an individual basis. All of the redundancies are compulsory.

Rome capital markets partner Alessandra Bessant left CC at the end of last month and has yet to announce her next move, while Milan-based project finance partner Massimo Novo left in August to join the European Investment Bank as head of legal for Italy and Southeast Europe.
