Berwin Leighton Paisner real estate finance partner Mark Waghorn has advised Bank of Ireland on a £250m acquisition and construction financing package for Comer Homes. The package consists of a £125m acquisition facility and a £125m development facility for three residential developments. Jonathan S Rose Solicitors acted for Comer Homes on the property and finance aspects of the transaction. Dundas & Wilson acted for Comer Homes on construction issues. Carey Olsen advised Bank of Ireland and the lenders on Guernsey law, while Ogier advised Comer Homes on local law.

Wragges nets lead role on Leicester City takeover

Wragge & Co has advised longstanding client Leicester City FC on the sale of a majority stake in the football club to former Portsmouth FC chairman Milan Mandaric for around £9m. A Wragges team led by corporate partner Andrew Smith advised the Championship club on the sale, which saw Mandaric's US-based company UK Football Investments acquire around 75% of the Midlands outfit.
