The club, Sammy's, subsequently hired at least two female bartenders at the club's Fort Walton Beach location, according to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The agency said in a statement that "employers must realize that no person, male or female, can be denied employment based on sex." A representative for Sammy's wasn't immediately reached for comment.
