Southeast Asian law firm network Zicolaw has added a Singapore member firm.

Newly created Insights Law, the ninth member of the four-year-old law firm network that covers eight Southeast Asian countries and Australia, will now have Singaporean law capability. Prior to the establishment of Insights Law, Zaid Ibrahim & Co., the Kuala Lumpur-based founding member of Zicolaw, already has a Singapore office—Zicolaw Singapore Pte. Ltd.—since 2003 as a foreign law practice which is prohibited from practicing Singaporean law. Zicolaw Singapore will continue to coexist with Insights Law for now, but the intention is to have one entity to practice Singapore law, said Hanim Hamzah, Jakarta-based managing partner of Zicolaw network.

Chua Wei Min, former co-head of Zaid Ibrahim's Singapore office, will co-lead the 8-lawyer Insights Law with Gregory Chan, who joins from Singaporean firm Colin Ng & Partners. Chua advises on corporate advisory and regulatory and compliance matters, with emphases on trust and foundation setups and wealth management. She joined Zaid Ibrahim in 2003 and had co-led the firm's Singapore office with Kuala Lumpur partner Loo Tatt King last year.
