The grass may be greener at Ansley

Ansley Golf Club is a quirky, but quality nine-hole golf course in Midtown Atlanta that has been around since 1912. The private club was founded by attorney-turned-real estate developer Edwin P. Ansley, who also created nearby Ansley Park neighborhood. A few years back, Sports Illustrated listed Ansley as one of the top 10 nine-hole golf courses in the country.

'Bad day' on golf course ends well

As the saying goes among golfers: A bad day on the golf course beats a good day in the office any day. That was the case last week for my foursome at the Association of Corporate Counsel golf outing at the Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta. We had a bad day on the golf course. Now, bad day actually means poor scoring. Our team struggled to make birdies.

Needing to feed my golf deficiency, I visited a nearby driving range and pounded a bucket of balls.

Every wedding needs a golf outing

I attended my cousin's wedding in Atlanta last month. It was a beautiful ceremony at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. The reception was held at a magnificent private home in Buckhead. Guests were entertained by the energetic party band Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts. There was a whole lot of dancing and partying going on.
