Addleshaws advises as Berezovsky settles Patarkatsishvili claim

Addleshaw Goddard has settled one of its three upcoming proceedings for Russian oligarch Boris Berezovsky, ending his $3bn (£1.9bn) claim against the Patarkatsishvili family. Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer are both advising on a €164m (£102m) claim against Barclays, in the latest allegation of wrongdoing at the bank. The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has announced the latest round of High Court judges, with the appointment of 3 Stone Buildings' Sarah Asplin QC set to double the number of women currently sitting in the Chancery Division. Asplin is replacing the retiring Mr Justice Calvert-Smith, taking the number of women in the Chancery Division to two out of a bench total of 18. Her new role comes after 28 years at the Bar.
