Autoliv appoints Asia legal head as interim general counsel

Automotive safety systems company Autoliv has appointed its Asia legal head Anthony Nellis as the new interim vice president for legal affairs and general counsel for the global business. Nellis, who is based in China, will assume the position as of 1 January 2014, succeeding current GC and vice president for legal affairs Lars Sjöbring, who is based in the company's headquarters Swedish capital Stockholm and who sits on the executive management team.

Dentons continues Middle East push with hire of V&E's Abu Dhabi head

Dentons has hired Vinson & Elkins' (V&E) Abu Dhabi managing partner Jonathan Nash, in an expansion of its energy practice. Nash, an international project finance and development lawyer, joined V&E from Chadbourne & Parke's London office in 2010. He becomes Dentons' third senior lateral hire in the region in a little over a month, following the recruitment of DLA Piper construction partner Ian Dalley in Abu Dhabi and banking and Norton Rose Fulbright finance partner Alex Roussos in Dubai.

The American fashion retailer Abercrombie & Fitch has hired New York-based Greenberg Traurig partner Robert Bostrom as its new general counsel. Bostrom, who is currently co-chair of Greenberg's financial regulatory and compliance practice, replaces Ronald "Rocky" Robins, who last week left the company to re-join Columbus, Ohio-headquartered firm Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease.
