Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced on Nov. 1 that she has been elected as the inaugural chair of the new ABLE Savings Plan Network (ASPN), a group formed by the National Association of State Treasurers. ABLE programs allow Americans with disabilities to save tax-free without affecting their eligibility for means-tested government benefits.

The state House of Representatives was set to return to session Nov. 14, subject to earlier recall by Speaker Bryan Cutler, R-Lancaster. The Pennsylvania Senate was scheduled to reconvene Nov. 15, subject to earlier recall by Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, R-Centre.

On July 5, 2017, plaintiff Brian Garnett, in his early 50s, was a passenger in a sedan driven by his wife, plaintiff Diane Garnett, 50. They were stopped on Street Road, at its intersection with Bustleton Pike Feasterville-Trevose. The rear of the car was subsequently struck by the front of a trailing sport utility vehicle driven by Matthew Bielucki. Brian Garnett claimed an Achilles tendon tear. Diane Garnett also claimed injuries.

On April 8 2020, plaintiff Babana Castillo, 55, was walking on the 3100 block of Montrose Avenue, in Laureldale. A Belgian Malinois charged at her and knocked her to the ground. The dog proceeded to attack her and bite her several times.
